LabTech Training (LTT) offers workplace training to suit all employers with laboratory staff. The nationally recognised qualifications from the Laboratory Operations Training Package (PML04) are delivered in your workplace, through a program that suits your business needs. Funded through the Australian Apprenticeships scheme, the program attracts financial incentives for employers.
As an additional benefit for organisations upskilling their workforce, the Western Australian Government is offering payroll tax exemptions and Workers’ Compensation premium rebates to employers.

Delivering the Laboratory Operations Training Package PML04, we work closely and cooperatively with industry to provide nationally accredited training in a flexible and sustainable manner.
Pete has been employed by Alpha Industries for five years as a laboratory assistant, testing construction materials. With no formal qualifications, but good experience in the laboratory sector, he is employed on a salary of $40,000. When Pete indicates a desire to gain formal qualifications, LTT works with Alpha Industries to select units based on his role and previous experience and he commences a customised Certificate IV of Laboratory Techniques (PML40104). Due to Pete’s industry experience, LTT can assess and award Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for some units. Additional training is delivered at Alpha Industries’ premises by LTT’s qualified trainers,on a flexible program over two years.

Pete is promoted in recognition of his efforts and receives a pay raise to $45,000. He then goes on to study the Diploma of Laboratory Technology (PML50104) for a further three years.
At the end of five years, Pete has gained a nationally recognised Diploma and a promotion, with improved future job prospects.
