There are a number of government incentives available for eligible employees. The Australian Apprenticeship Incentive Program is a federal government initiative providing incentives to employers of eligible trainees. There may also be additional incentives available such as payroll tax exemptions, Workers Compensation exemptions and reductions, Construction Training Fund rebates, just to name a few. Assist with compliance with WHS laws
Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
Assist with claims management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programs
Assist with workplace monitoring processes
Contribute to work related health and safety measures and initiatives
Assist with responding to incidents
Contribute to the implementation of emergency procedures
Assist with effective WHS management of contractors
Assessment will include questions to confirm underpinning knowledge as well as a combination of practical assessment tasks, observation of performance, case studies, scenarios and workplace projects.
Trainees will be required to undertake self-study with the material provided and carry out necessary research in their own time.
