The nationally recognised MSL40118 Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is delivered by LabTech Training Victoria (RTO 22545).
This course builds technical ability in the use of laboratory application software, maintaining and controlling stock, performing chemical tests and more. The qualification is designed to provide in-depth insight into the industry and focuses on promoting methodological competence, so students graduate ready to start a laboratory career.

Training Centre Delivery
The course is delivered in our purpose-built classrooms at 371-373 George Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065 over 24 weeks.
Classes are held 9.30am-4pm (Mondays and Tuesdays or Thursdays and Fridays, depending on intake). Classes are occasionally held on Wednesdays due to public holidays.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available for eligible students.

Fees are subject to change at any time before enrolment. For students who are ineligible for government support, fee-for-service fees apply.

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.
For students not eligible for government support
The following fee includes a $500 non-refundable enrolment deposit, which is payable upfront and deducted from the total fee. Direct debit payment plans are available to spread the remainder of payments over the duration of the course.

As part of the enrolment process, a comprehensive pre-training review is conducted to capture current competencies including language, literacy and numeracy. This process also aids in identifying individual learning needs and any support services that may be required so that training delivery can be tailored accordingly.
Students who complete this qualification may wish to undertake further Workplace Training of the MSL50118 Diploma of Laboratory Technology. Please note that we do not offer the MSL50118 Diploma of Laboratory Technology via classroom training at this time.
